A B S T R A C T
This text focuses on the situations of violence denounced by women through the Special Police Departments for Women in the city of Rio de Janeiro during the middles of the decade of 1990. Those situations of outrage are perceived in their judiciary aspects, showing the victims’ versions of the conflicts (generally women) and at the same time the accuseds’ versions (their partners) and their reciprocal relations.
