Abstract

The article addresses the making of the first specific spaces for black women's political acting in the 1980s. This decade is known as a period in which “new subjects” arise in Brazilian politics. The article aims to establish the core elements of the movement and its initial phase. The research will analyze political strategies and the formation of an identity (or consciousness) of a specific political subject.
