This paper aims to detail the process of construction of the Centro de Memória Vasco da Gama. Started in 2001, the project is a pioneer in soccer clubs. The initiative was developed by historians, and aims to go beyond the mere recovery of the club’s history by enabling the restoration, preservation and dissemination of its historical collection.
